The Language of Clay is a series of touring exhibitions being run by the Mission Gallery in Swansea and curated by Ceri.


The Language of Clay: part one ran from the autumn of 2015 through to late 2017. It featured the work of three wonderful makers, Anna NoëlMicki Schloessingk and Anne Gibbs

The Language of Clay: part two began in January 2018 with Shifting Lines, an exhibition of work by Justine Allison. Seen and unseen by Ingrid Murphy opened at Ruthin Craft Centre on 24 November 2018 and and the final exhibition, Traces by Kate Haywood, opened at Ruthin Craft Centre on 2 February 2019.

Both parts of The Language of Clay have both been supported by the Arts Council of Wales.
